While many schools, universities and even other career counselling professionals rely solely on aptitude assessments to assist with career decisions, Michelle believes that gaining an idea of the “bigger picture” in terms of who the student is, is essential. For this reason, she has structured several assessment packages that aim to tailor the assessment process to the individual needs of the student.

All packages below include the following:
Pre-assessment consultation on the day of assessments.
Narrative career counselling process.
All assessments, as specified.
Comprehensive, written feedback report (available digitally on request).

Junior Packages:
Grade 8 & 9

Grade 8 Early Bird Package
This package includes both aptitude and interest assessments, and the initial consultation and assessment appointment lasts approximately 3 and a half hours.
Cost: R1800

Grade 9 Subject Choice Package (Standard)
This package includes personality, interests and values assessments, aimed at students who may already have completed aptitude assessments or who have a confident idea of their natural abilities and the initial consultation and assessment appointment lasts approximately 2 to 3 hours.
Cost: R2400

Grade 9 Subject Choice Package (Extended)
This package includes aptitude, personality, interests and values assessments. The duration of the initial consultation and assessment appointment is approximately 5-6 hours, including breaks between assessments.
Cost: R3400

Senior Packages:
Grade 10 – tertiary aged students/early 20s

Standard Package
This package includes personality, interests and values assessments, as well as comprehensive narrative career counselling techniques. The duration of the initial consultation and assessment appointment is approximately 2 to 3 hours.
Cost: R2650

Extended Package
This extended package includes aptitude, personality, interests and values assessments, as well as comprehensive narrative career counselling techniques. The duration of the initial consultation and assessment appointment is approximately 5-6 hours, including breaks between assessments.
Cost: R3500

Michelle does group assessments of groups consisting of three or more individuals. The parents of the students (or the students themselves) are welcome to arrange their own groups in order to qualify for group rates.

All group packages include the following:
All assessments are to be completed as a group, with all group members being assessed simultaneously. Michelle will provide individual written feedback reports (available digitally on request). She will also schedule individual 45-minute feedback consultations sessions with parents/guardians for each group member.

Attention schools/teachers/school counsellors:
Michelle offers drastically reduced rates for groups of 20+ students.
Schools are also welcome to contact Michelle to arrange for class or grade assessments.

For adults I offer 3 packages, which use psychometric assessments to help guide them either in the career field they’re already in or towards a new career field altogether.

The assessments give a good idea of unique strengths and the characteristics related to job satisfaction for that specific person. They can help identify your managerial style and the best role you can play within an organization.

Online appointments are prioritised to be considerate of existing work commitments, and after hours appointments can be accommodated at request.

Personality and values assessments are conducted to determine personal strengths, leadership preferences, factors relating to job satisfaction and motivators. The duration of the initial consultation and assessment appointment is approximately 1.5-2 hours.
Cost: R1600

Suitable for corporate assessments, for hiring purposes, to assess company/team fit.

Standard Adult Package:
Personality, values and interests assessments are conducted to determine personal strengths, leadership preferences, factors relating to job satisfaction and motivators, as well as insight into preferred work environments and specific roles. The duration of the initial consultation and assessment appointment is approximately 2-2.5 hours.
Cost: R2400
Suitable for corporate assessments, for hiring purposes, to assess company/team fit.

Extended Adult Package:
Personality, values, interests and aptitude assessments are conducted to determine personal strengths, leadership preferences, factors relating to job satisfaction and motivators, as well as insight into preferred work environments, specific roles and natural abilities and the potential to learn specific skills. The duration of the initial consultation and assessment appointment is approximately 5-6 hours, including breaks.

Payment is due upon completion of assessments in order to secure your feedback consultation. No feedback consultations will take place until receipt of a proof of payment.

As a Registered Counsellor with the Health Professions Council of South Africa, Michelle is registered with the Board of Healthcare Funders (Practice Code 0407844) for medical aid claims.

Depending on your plan, costs may be claimed from your medical aid after receipt of payment. Michelle does not submit any claims to your medical aid on your behalf. Costs are typically covered from the “savings” portion of your medical aid. EFT payments are preferred. Payment via credit or debit card/Snapscan or in cash is accepted for face to face appointments, on the day of the assessment appointment. All payment information will be on your invoice. No cheque payments are accepted.
